By now, international communities has come to terms of “protect our common homeland; save resources and strive to develop the recyclable economy”, and in China, Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has approved the Recyclable Economy Boosting Law of PRC in October 29, 2008 and is going to be put into force on January 1, 2009. In China, the building material industry is a key one for the recyclable economy, so we have an obligation to make the recycling of building materials better.
Over years, domestic and international building material R&D has accumulated a lot of precious experience on utilization of solids waste. So as to transforming such the experience to the productivity and achieve “changing the undesirable into resources” and “contributing to society”, we had hold the First International Conference and Exhibition on Recycling of China’s Building Material Industry in September 2008 and benefited much.
With supports of the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Department of Housing and Rural Construction and China Building Material Federation, some associations and institutions in the building material circle home and abroad are invited to the conference. In the meeting, leaders and well-known experts of German Industry and Trade Association, Japanese Jcoal and CCP, China City’s Building Material Labor Unions of Guangdong, Yunnan and Shanxi, the research societies of building materials of national institutions for higher learning and other organizations in this field give wonderful reports on the meeting; more than 100 representatives from famous domestic and oversea companies such as Holcim Cement Group, Cemex, German Rafael Corhart Company, MITSUI Shipbuilding Corporation, JCOAL, Pacific Cement Investment Corporation of Japan (China), Huaren Cement Investment Co., Ltd., Wanghai Investment & Development Group in Nanjing, Earth Products China Limited are invited to the meeting and had a mutual communication by over 40 papers, they brought a success and high social praises to the First International Conference and Exhibition on Recycling of China’s Building Material Industry.
Basing on successes of the first conference and exhibition, China Building Material Federation, the Research Institute of Industrial Technologies Information and the National Trade and Exhibition Center for Building Materials is planning to hold “The Second International Conference and Exhibition on Recycling of China’s Building Material Industry” in June 2009.
We will invite the leaders of public institutions and governmental sectors such as the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Department of Housing and Rural Construction, the Environment Protection Department and China Building Material Federation to read and explain policies and regulations about the recyclable economy. And some famous oversea expert in such a circle will be invited to introduce some knowledge about treatment of solids waste, the employed industrial policies, the industrial technical standards, the industrial development trend and the research methods, the technical guidelines as well as the technical facilities. More important, some experts and learners from China Building Materials Academy, Tianjin Cement Design & Research Institute, Nanjing Cement Design & Research Institute, Hefei Cement Design & Research Institute, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, China University of Mining and Technology will attend this conference and offer some information about research results, progresses on the studying and the research trend of the utilization of the solids waste.
The exhibition will become the high technical exchange and forum of the well-known domestic and foreign companies, local governments, trade associations, municipalities’ institutions and enterprises of the building material industry, and the event which focus the domestic and foreign elites.
